Publication Code of Ethics

JOURNAL PUBLICATION ETHICS

The Jurnal Politeknik Arutala Johana Hendarto [d.h. Akademi Terapi Wicara] upholds the principles of honesty, integrity, and responsibility in all aspects of the scientific publication process.
This publication ethics policy is based on the International Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

This code of ethics applies to authors, editors, reviewers, and journal managers as a guideline to maintain the quality and credibility of scientific publications.

1. Responsibilities of Authors

  • Ensure that the submitted work is original and free from plagiarism.

  • Do not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.

  • Properly and completely cite all sources used in the research and writing.

  • Include all individuals who have made significant contributions to the research and writing process as authors.

  • Be willing to revise the manuscript according to suggestions from reviewers or editors.

2. Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Evaluate manuscripts objectively, honestly, and professionally.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript content under review.

  • Do not use any part of the manuscript for personal or third-party gain.

  • Provide constructive feedback to help improve the quality of the manuscript.

3. Responsibilities of Editors

  • Ensure that the selection and evaluation process for manuscripts is conducted fairly and transparently.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts, as well as the identities of reviewers and authors.

  • Avoid bias or discrimination in publication decisions.

  • Make publication decisions based on the scientific quality of the manuscript and the reviewers’ recommendations.

4. Responsibilities of Journal Managers

  • Ensure that all publication processes adhere to ethical principles and international standards (COPE).

  • Provide transparent and accountable publication systems and procedures.

  • Take appropriate action in response to any suspected ethical violations, including plagiarism, duplicate publication, or data manipulation.
