Plagiarism Policy
PLAGIARISM POLICY
Every scientific manuscript submitted to Jurnal Politeknik Arutala Johana Hendarto [formerly Akademi Terapi Wicara] must be free from any form of plagiarism.
Authors are strongly encouraged to check the similarity index of their manuscripts using plagiarism detection software before submission.
The editorial team will also conduct plagiarism screening using systems such as Plagiarism Checker or Turnitin.
The maximum acceptable similarity index is 25%, in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi, Sains, dan Teknologi Republik Indonesia).
The editorial board emphasizes that all forms of plagiarism are strictly prohibited, and disciplinary actions will be taken against manuscripts proven to contain plagiarized material, whether intentional or unintentional.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism refers to any act—intentional or unintentional—aimed at gaining academic recognition or credit by using part or all of another person’s work without proper acknowledgment or citation.
Forms of plagiarism include, but are not limited to:

Submitting another person’s work as one’s own without proper citation.

Rewriting or paraphrasing another author’s work without providing appropriate acknowledgment.

Using ideas, theories, data, or information from others without proper credit or citation.
Categories of Violations and Actions

Minor Plagiarism:
Copying a small portion of text from another source without proper citation or quotation marks.-
Action: The author will receive a warning and be required to revise the manuscript by adding correct citations.

Major Plagiarism:
Copying a substantial portion of another person’s work without appropriate citation or reference.-
Action: The manuscript will be rejected for publication, and the author may be barred from publishing in Jurnal Politeknik Arutala Johana Hendarto or other related scientific media for a specified period.

Author Responsibility
All authors listed in a manuscript share equal responsibility for the content submitted.
By submitting their article for publication, authors are considered to have agreed to the journal’s scientific publication ethics statement, declaring that the work is free from plagiarism.
If it is found that an author has submitted the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously—and such duplication is detected either during review or after publication—sanctions under the major plagiarism category will apply.
Policy Enforcement
The review and enforcement of this policy are the responsibility of the Editorial Team of Politeknik Arutala Johana Hendarto [formerly Akademi Terapi Wicara].
If plagiarism is suspected, the editorial team will evaluate the manuscript and determine appropriate actions based on the severity of the violation.
Politeknik Arutala Johana Hendarto [formerly Akademi Terapi Wicara] reserves the right to impose academic and administrative sanctions in accordance with internal regulations and applicable laws in Indonesia.
